As a Member Bank of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago (FHLB), First National Bank has sponsored Lakeshore CAP, Inc. to provide down payment assistance to 20 households.

Low income, first-time homebuyers in rural areas (populations of 10,000 or less) located throughout Manitowoc, Kewaunee, Door, Calumet and Sheboygan counties will benefit from the $144,000 in funding available through the FHLB’s Affordable Housing Program. Funds are also available to qualified individuals with disabilities.

The funding not only provides for the down payment assistance, but also group homebuyer education sessions and individual housing counseling through Lakeshore CAP.
